Russ Meinert, a Men of Note board member and five-year chorus member, has been named the chorus’ Barbershopper of the Year. The Barbershopper of the Year is the most prized award given by the Men of Note Chorus each year.

Renowned jazz vocalist, composer and arranger Rosana Eckert will be the featured performer at the Men of Note's annual winter banquet on January 23. Rosana takes her listeners on a musical journey that is often described as joyous, breathtaking, and inspiring.

The Men of Note will be holding its 2010 training camp every Monday and Thursday in February. It's a great opportunity to learn more about the chorus, learn some great singing tips, and to have fun with a great group of guys.

Nearly 300 middle- and high school boys learned about singing as a male chorus at a special workshop sponsored by the Men of Note Chorus. The event, held Nov. 21 at Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, marked the second Spectrum of Harmony event held with the Plano Independent School District. Each of the 12 middle school campuses was represented, while seven of the eight high schools participated.
