The Town North Plano chapter of the BHS has a long and distinguished history. Consistent competitors in SWD Chorus competition, unparalleled administrative and musical leadership and a dedication to community are just a few of the attributes that have sustained the chapter through good times and bad. Many of the leaders in the SWD have TNP roots. Two have even gone on to be International President. But most of all, TNP has been a leader in progressive thinking. Perhaps this is why so many of its members have gone on to leadership positions at the district and International levels. Through it all, a commitment to quality music and fraternity have bonded the chorus in a way few other chapters can emulate.

Starting as the "Garland" chapter, the name was changed to the "Dallas Town North" chapter in 1962. The chapter merged with the "Plano" chapter in 1995 and changed its name to the "Town North Plano" chapter in 2000. In 2019, TNP combined with the "Big D" chapter as well as the "Bassically Treble" chorus, formerly of Sweet Adelines International. With this merger of three barbershop chapters, TNP has now changed the name of the chorus to “Legacy Of Harmony”. The name reflects our commitment to providing a lifetime of singing to everyone! Under this new brand, the Town North Plano chapter looks forward to leading the way in the 21st century as a shining example of "Everyone In Harmony"!
