Barbershopper Of The Year
Barbershopper Of The Year 01/26/2010
Russ Meinert, a Men of Note board member and five-year chorus member, has been named the chorus’ Barbershopper of the Year.
The Barbershopper of the Year is the most prized award given by the Men of Note Chorus each year. The winner is chosen by previous Barbershopper of the Year winners.
Meinert, who lives in Plano, has taken on a number of leadership roles in the chorus, including chairing Christmas and Spring shows, and providing support for the Singing Valentines program and the Spectrum of Harmony event. At the same time, he often chips in by setting up risers and sound equipment.
“Russ’ dedication to the chorus is clear,” said Dennis Devenport, president of the Men of Note. “If he isn’t doing the job himself, he’s making sure it gets done.”
This year, Meinert is serving as an at-large member of the board of directors.
